Bio:

Alan has been the General Manager of the Moose Jaw Warriors since 2010. Under Millar the Warriors had their best regular season in franchise history in 2011-2012, posting a 45-19-6-2 record, setting franchise records for wins (45), home wins (30), and points (98). The team also captured the organizations third East Division title in 2012, and made their second appearance in the Eastern Conference Finals that same year.

Previously he was the General Manager of the Sarnia Sting (2004-2009) and Guelph Storm (1997-2003) of the Ontario Hockey League. In 1998, the Storm won the OHL Championship and narrowly lost in the Memorial Cup Final in overtime. In 2002, Guelph, under Millar’s leadership, hosted the Memorial Cup.

From 1993-1997 he was the Director of Operations for the Saint John Flames of the American Hockey League. Alan was also part of Hockey Canada’s CHL General Manager’s committee from 2005-2009, which helped evaluate players for Canada’s Under 18, World Junior, and Canada/Russia teams. Millar has worked with a number of notable NHL stars including Steven Stamkos (Tampa Bay Lightning), Dustin Brown (Los Angeles Kings), Ryan Callahan (New York Rangers), Dan Girardi (New York Rangers), Craig Anderson (Ottawa Senators) and Dan Paille (Boston Bruins).
