Born in Auckland, New Zealand, Luc and his family migrated to Canada when he was 9 years old. After excelling in a number of sports while growing up in Mississauga Ontario, Luc graduated from Applewood Heights Secondary School, and accepted a full scholarship to play football at Michigan State University.

In 2004 the proud Spartan was drafted 35th overall by the Saskatchewan Roughriders and spent the next 7½ seasons, on the field, playing a major role in the organization and competing in several Grey Cup Championships.

While he was with the Roughriders, Luc began working with the Regina Red Cross and helped develop one of its hallmark programs the “Beyond the Hurt, Anti-Bullying Campaign.” The program has provided schools and communities with solutions that help deal with the changing face of bullying throughout the province. So far, with the help of the Roughrider organization, they have managed to educate over 25,000 kids across the province.

Luc retired as a “Rider” in 2012, after playing in three Grey Cups including being a key member of the 2007 Championship squad. He now makes his home in Regina with his wife and beautiful daughter, while building a financial practise offering insurance solutions and investment strategies with Sun Life Financial.

During the “Celebration In Rider Nation,” Luc was the co-host of Riderville for the 2013 Grey Cup week. He has a passion for motivational speaking with athletic teams and businesses, Luc has spoken at numerous corporate events and enjoys the chance to meet and share with the public.

Luc really believes that being a Saskatchewan Roughrider provided him with incredible opportunities to grow spiritually and professionally. He considers it a privilege to be able to give back to the people of the province in any way he can.
