Let talk about some weight loss myths. Some of these I have learnt on my own, and others through some research.
- losing weight will take time, it’s not an over night process. You will see the scale go up and down, depending on what and how you body is holding the food and water you are giving it.
- “carbs make you fat” is a total myth!! Your body NEEDS carbs to operate on a day to day basis. Cutting out essential carbs will only take your energy level down. If you keep your carb intake low, and protein intake high it will help you lose weight.
- weight loss diets don’t work. most people who do these are most likely to gain all, if not more weight back than they lost. dieting is a lifestyle, not a quick fix.
I could go on for hours about weight loss myths but I’ll save that for another blog! The main takeaway I want you to get from this is don’t fall for every scheme, do your research and don’t give up!
