This weekend I was out at the lake, but being at the lake doesn’t totally mean a weekend off from being active. There are so many different workouts you can do that don’t require a gym or weights. Today I will give you a few tips and tricks on how to stay active even if you don’t have a gym or any equipment nearby! This isn’t only set to when you’re camping, you can apply this everywhere.
First off and probably most obvious you can go for a walk/jog/run around to explore and take in all of your surroundings. Doing this will be one of those workouts, that don’t really feel like you’re working out, which happens to be one of my favourites!
If you have a picnic bench nearby you can use it as an easy bench to do a bunch of different workouts on, for example here is a workout I would do with a picnic bench
- 10 box jumps onto the bench
- 10 static lunges with 1 leg on bench (10 per leg)
- 10 side step ups with 1 leg on bench (10 per leg)
- 10 triceps dips
- 10 elevated push ups
- REPEAT 3 TIMES!
This workout would apply to just about any bench it doesn’t have to be a picnic bench. You could also do it all without any bench so it just depends on what your surrounds are! Just because you’re on a holiday doesn’t mean you forget about being active, and being active outdoors can be way more fun than indoors!
