Today let’s talk about some ways to build muscle and keep it on.

The first step to gaining muscle or losing weight always starts in the kitchen, so making sure you eat protein at every meal and enough of it.

Sleep plays a big factor in a person’s life, not only when it comes to the gym but overall health. Make sure you are getting enough sleep every night!

Some things you can do in the gym to help gain muscle is to do one more rep, even if you’ve maxed out try for one more. It will add up, even if you fail doing the rep you know you worked that muscle good.

You could also add 5 more pounds onto whatever exercise you are doing. Now there are a few different exercises that 5 pounds will feel like 50 pound, but for those add less like a 2.5-pound plate, or go up on the dumbbell 2.5 pounds.

Using big compound movements will also help in gaining that muscle. A compound movement would be such as a squat, not only in a squat are you using your quads, you are also using your glutes and calves at the same time.

Most important when trying to gain that muscle would be to stay consistent! Not only in the gym but in the kitchen as well.
