Brooke’s Fitness Board – May 8th, 2018


MEAL PREP!!!! It’s something I dread every Sunday but I know it needs to get done or I will give myself ‘excuses’ to cheat all week! One thing I love about meal prepping is I don’t have to worry about what I’m going to make for lunch, or supper and I get it done super-fast! All I have to do is warm it up. It doesn’t bother me when it comes to what I meal prep, I could eat the same thing for weeks before I get sick of it, where on the other hand my boyfriend refuses to eat the same meal twice. Everyone is different and you just need to find something that works for you and your schedule. The last month I have been meal prepping with chicken, lean ground beef, and ground turkey and a different variety of whole grains. Protein protein protein!!!!!

I’m quite a picky eater, so it’s hard for me to try new recipes but here are some ideas I use for my meal preps:

  • Chicken Greek Salad
  • Chicken Fried Rice
  • Chicken & Beef Ravioli
  • Lean ground beef/turkey with rice
  • Lean ground beef/turkey spaghetti (my fav right now!!)

    Meal Prep

I recently found a love for ground turkey, it has half the fat of ground beef and you honestly cannot taste the difference (and that’s coming from a picky eater!) When I was on my Chicken Greek Salad kick I got asked at work if all I eat was salad? YUP lol! Meal prepping may seem like a chore for one evening but it makes all the difference I find. How easy is it to just pull up to a drive through and get a burger? Just as easy as it is to warm up my meal prep! Not only are you saving money, but you’re saving all those extra calories! That being said it isn’t for everyone, for example by boyfriend, but it works for me and that’s what everyone needs to do, find something that works for you, and stick to it!
