Jeremy O’Day

Jeremy O’Day played 12 seasons with the Saskatchewan Roughriders. Drafted by Toronto in 1997 and then signing a contract with the Roughriders in 1999, he has been named CFL all-star at the centre position three times during his career. Jeremy spent his college career at Edinboro University in Pennsylvania, where he played from 1992-1996 with the Fighting Scots. During that time he was a three time All-American Division II player. In 2008, he was named the CFL’s Tom Pate Award recipient which goes to the player with outstanding sportsmanship, who made a contribution to his team, as well as, to his community. In 2007, he also was the recipient of the Mosaic Community Award presented annually to the Rider who contributes the most to his community.

Jeremy was the starting centre on the 2007 Grey Cup Championship Team. He is very involved in the community speaking to many schools with the Fine Foods Community Youth Challenge as well as many motivational, charity and sports dinner events. Jeremy is very involved with Jesse’s Journey, a charity for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, and the Jeremy O’Day Scholarship at Edinboro University. Jeremy currently works with the Saskatchewan Roughriders as the Football Operations Co-ordinator. Jeremy and his wife Dana make Regina their year-round home with their three children.
