During his CFL career Neal Hughes was known as a special teams’ demon. Neal now brings the same energy and passion to the podium. Neal is comfortable talking about his on-field career and the interesting characters he played with during his time in the CFL. He is also very community minded and enjoys visiting schools and youth groups to discuss key issues such as bullying, making healthy choices, literacy and the importance of staying in school.
The Regina born, Hughes joined the Saskatchewan Roughriders as an undrafted free agent after an all-star career with the Regina Rams. He was also a key member of the Roughriders 2007 and 2013 Grey Cup Championship teams.

Growing up in Saskatchewan Neal enjoys hunting, fishing and golfing and of course talking football. This is another reason he is happy to travel across the province and give back to the communities that supported him when he played.
