How It all Began
Shawn Lemon was born in Charleston, South Carolina to a driven family. His parents Edward and Floretha have four sons Edward Jr, Anthony,Marcus, Shawn whom is the youngest.
He learned at a young age of five that he was in love with the game of football. Moving from South Carolina to Waldorf, Maryland he gained a greater respect for the game. Shawn played varsity football at Westlake for three years. Broke the single season sack record his senior yr with 15, also the most sacks in a game with 5. Was selected to All County team and All Metro team. Those accomplishments and good grades allowed him to receive a full athletic scholarship to University of Akron.
University Of Akron
He was an All Mid-american conference selection as a senior, leading the team with seven sacks and four fumble recoveries. He ended his college career with 102 tackles, 23 tackles for loss, 11 sacks, five fumble recoveries and six forced fumbles.
He has also been a member of six professional teams, before his breakout season with Calgary Stampeders in 2014. Recording 13 sacks, five tackles for a loss and eight forced fumbles (CFL League Record) nominee for Defensive player of the year. Which helped his team win Grey Cup 102 in Vancouver vs Hamilton Tiger Cats. That season opened NFL doors for him, he signed with Pittsburgh Steelers and San Francisco 49ers before returning back to CFL in 2015 with Ottawa Redblacks. Lemon was a huge addition in helping a second year franchise win the Eastern conference finals, and make the franchise first Grey Cup in 34 yrs. In 2017 he became a member of the Toronto Argonauts and won the 105 Grey Cup in the same year with the team.

Lemon spends time with his family, speaking at events, reaching out to the youth, playing video games and training for the upcoming season.
